The competencies and courses required for your degree program are research-based and developed by a council of experts in higher education and the industry. Using the most rigorous standards available, these competencies are determined to be those necessary for your career success. When you graduate, you can be certain you have the knowledge and skills employers demand. WGU Texas verifies the competencies of students through assessments, not credit hours. Unlike other online universities, WGU Texas awards degrees based on passing a series of assessments that measure your skills and knowledge in your chosen field.
