Welcome to WGU's College of Business! As a current WGU student, you are invited to join the WGU SHRM Virtual Student Chapter. As one of only a few virtual student chapters approved through SHRM, you have the opportunity to participate as a member and take advantage of some of the phenomenal benefits of chapter membership, such as: - Educational events/webinars throughout the year
- Hear from guest speakers that are leaders in the HR field
- Network with HR professionals and your classmates
- Share ideas and support one another as you pursue your professional goals
To join the chapter, you would first need a current SHRM student membership. When signing up for a membership, make sure to select WGU as your university in the drop down list on their website, so that WGU is linked to your SHRM student profile. If you have a current SHRM professional membership, you would need to change to a student membership in order to join the chapter. If you have questions or concerns about switching from a professional membership to a student membership, you can speak with a SHRM representative at 1.800.283.7476.
Once you have an active SHRM student membership, you will register online for the WGU SHRM Virtual Student Chapter in order to be added to our chapter roster and begin to receive communication about upcoming chapter events!
