Quality + Balance + Relevance = Your Degree from WGU

It's All About Quality
It's All About Quality

In a recent blog post for the CED, the Committee of Economic Development, WGU President Scott Pulsipher asked if the value of a college degree was impacted by the type of school it came from—online vs. brick and mortar. The conclusion: the quality of an education is far more important than where you go to learn. How did WGU rate? Click here to find out.

Celebrating Nurses and Teachers

May is a time for celebration! National Nurses Week (May 6–12), and Teacher Appreciation Week (May 8–12), give us the perfect chance to say a special thanks to people who work in healthcare or education. Their work changes lives on a daily basis, and in their honor we are offering special scholarships, application fee waivers, and limited-edition merchandise in our online store.

You can afford your education at WGU Texas

Dear Septian,

Are tuition costs weighing on your decision to attend college? At WGU Texas, we work hard to make your education experience as affordable as possible. We accomplish this in many ways:

AFFORDABLE, FLAT-RATE TUITION
Tuition at WGU Texas is affordable.  And, you don't just save on rates alone; you can also be rewarded for your hard work.  We charge tuition at a flat-rate every six months, so you only pay for the time you need to complete your degree.  The faster you progress, the more you save - a big incentive to work hard that you won't find at other schools.

     FINANCIAL AID AND SCHOLARSHIPS

At WGU Texas financial aid is available for those who qualify.  Combined with federal grants, corporate reimbursement programs, and scholarships, you can likely be assured an aid package can be designed to accommodate your needs.

I encourage you to learn whether or not you qualify for federal financial aid.  Our experience shows that many students qualify who do not expect it.

    CORPORATE REIMBURSEMENT

You may not have thought about this, but another great way to pay for college is through corporate reimbursement.   Many employers offer this benefit, yet many employees do not take advantage of it.

I encourage you to consult your Human Resources Department to learn about your company's tuition assistance policy.  If need be, you can direct your benefits coordinator or HR director to our Corporate Reimbursement page by clicking through the link on the right.

Ultimately, our mission is to expand access to higher education. Student aid is just one of the many ways in which we work towards this mission.
