Can you really graduate faster? | Your August Newsletter

Absolutely! WGU created competency-based degree programs specifically to make it possible for people to earn an accredited degree faster. How does it work? Our competency-based courses focus on what you learn, not how fast you learn—as soon as you demonstrate mastery of a subject, you move on. That means if you have past college or work experience, or are able to dedicate extra time to your studies, you really could graduate faster. See how one student earned two WGU degrees in record time.

Still interested in WGU Texas?

Dear Septian,

It's been two years since you applied for admission to WGU Texas. I want to check in again with you and see whether you've made a decision or are still researching your options.

At WGU Texas, we realize you need time to make an intelligent decision about going to college. You have a lot of demands on your time, and the decision about college—specifically which college to trust with your education—can't be taken lightly. It's a significant undertaking.

The fact that you're taking your time to make such an informed decision tells me you're serious about your education. That's great. Here's why WGU Texas is a great choice for you:

Your success is measured by learning, not credit hours or courses.
You have the flexibility to study when and where is convenient for you.
You have the potential to accelerate your degree program.
You can save money on our flat-rate, affordable tuition.
You can get great support from mentors and faculty.

Plus, there's a good chance that you'll qualify for a scholarship or financial aid—making WGU Texas even more affordable. (Unlike most online schools, we are nonprofit. This makes us one of the best education values available.)

I'd like to help you with this decision process. I can help you set up a plan or decide if WGU Texas is the right fit for you.

Looking forward to helping you,
