We Celebrate With You

Dear Septian, As we commemorate Juneteenth, we reflect on this day as a significant turning point toward hope and opportunity. Though our nation still grapples with social injustice and inequity, we believe change is possible. At WGU, we are committed to changing lives for the better. We can and must find opportunities to build a future where pathways are expanded and barriers to success are removed— for everyone. We encourage everyone to actively participate in local events, share their knowledge, and engage in meaningful conversations that promote a better understanding of our shared history.

We Celebrate With You

Dear Septian, Each June marks the celebration of Pride for the LGBTQIA+ community. No matter what barriers the LGBTQIA+ community faces they remain resilient. Resilient to stand for what is right, to weather hardships, and to never give up. We recently participated in Salt Lake City's Pride Fest and WGU is proud to be a sponsor of the upcoming Seattle PrideFest. For those of you in the Seattle area, we will be present at the festival on Sunday, June 25th and hope to see you there — stop by to grab some great, Pride-themed WGU swag! Speaking of swag, if you purchase at least one item from the "LGBTQ+ Pride Month" collection, and at least one item from the "PRIDE Owls" collection, you will get 20% off those items.

As we celebrate Pride Month, we encourage everyone, no matter how you identify, to take a moment to acknowledge and respect our differences, but more importantly, to appreciate our similarities. It is our drive to achieve more and create a better life and world for ourselves and others that unites us all. Learn more about how WGU celebrates pride month and register for a webinar with Greg R. Baird, who will share stories and insights about how all of us can be supportive allies in the workplace and community
